The core of the project is the notion of active listening. Listening to a territory goes beyond its acoustic dimension: it implies presence and attention to subtle phenomena, to traces and narratives embedded in forms and materials. In this sense, listening becomes a way of experiencing and understanding a place differently.

Akio Suzuki and Hiromi Miyakita Sha Butsu Sei Sei

Modern urban life forces us to live within artificially constructed structures. Some people may find themselves suppressing their sense of comfort and spatial awareness in order to survive. However, the number of people who can choose to change their current lifestyle and move to a more natural environment is limited. “ Sha Butsu Sei Sei ” is a program designed to help people regain their physical senses that are in danger of being lost, while still enjoying the benefits of modern life, and to make their daily lives more relaxed.
